Increase Your Site Speed<\/h2>\n<p>Google has said time and again that site speed is just one of the many on-page factors that impact your rankings. So, what is a good site speed and how can you decrease it? Optimal site speed means that your web pages take about 4 seconds or less to load, anything more than that and it\u2019ll start impacting your ability to rank. You can see how fast your website loads <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/speed\/pagespeed\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now that you\u2019ve checked your website\u2019s speed, here\u2019s how you can get things moving a little faster. Use a content delivery network (CDN), a network of servers located around the world that cache the static content of your site. This is important because distance of your server from the end users. Other solutions include compressing images, leveraging browser caching and switching to a faster hosting provider.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Make URLs Recognizable<\/h2>\n<p>News flash: URLs made up of random numbers and letters are just as confusing to people as they are to search engines. You can make your URLs easier to read by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keeping them short, under 90 characters<\/li>\n<li>Including your keywords but leaving out \u201cstop words\u201d such as \u201cand\u201d, \u201cthe\u201d and \u201cof\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Separating your keywords with hyphens<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>5. Share the Love with Social Sharing Buttons<\/h2>\n<p>Integrating social share buttons makes it easier for users to share your content on popular social sites and can cut down the amount of time it takes to get indexed.
